DeskMakers Wins Gold for Hover Benching in Contract Magazine’s Best of NeoCon 2016

LOS ANGELES (June 28, 2016) As contract furniture’s most important annual tradeshow, the competition to stand out among hundreds of exhibitors at the 48th annual NeoCon® was fierce, but DeskMakers achieved the goal June 13th, winning gold for furniture in Contract Magazine’s Best of NeoCon Awards for their Hover adjustable-height work surfaces. “NeoCon is known for being on the forefront of commercial design trends,” says DeskMakers CEO Phil Polishook, “so we’re truly proud of this recognition; it means that we are truly on the cutting edge in terms of design, functionality and quality.” Hover offers commercial interior designers a complete, flexible, adjustable-height work surface solution. It can be integrated into all of DeskMakers casegoods lines and TeamWorx desking line, or function as a stand-alone table. In addition, Hover provides power distribution and cable management for adjustable-height benching environments, featuring a laminated trough system that neatly distributes power. Completely American made, Hover Benching can be built with 20 laminate finishes and 12 finishes for the height-adjustable bases, allowing maximum design customization. “Every year, we are excited to come to NeoCon and present our products to the world,” says Polishook. “But this year we were particularly excited, because Hover Benching truly epitomizes our commitment for producing designs that represent the best in modern, customizable, affordable laminate casegoods, tables and desking.” Contract Magazine announced the 2016 award winners on the event’s opening morning, Monday, June 13, at the publication’s annual Best of NeoCon Breakfast. The competition honored the best new commercial interiors products in the industry, which were exhibited in The Mart during NeoCon. Honors included Gold and Silver Awards, as well as Innovation Awards, Editors’ Choice Awards and one Best of Competition Award. Approximately 500 companies exhibited on nearly one million square feet of exhibit space. “NeoCon sets the tone and direction for the industry,” says Polishook, “and, this year, it pointed to us for our Hover Benching, so we couldn’t be happier.” About DeskMakers Based in Los Angeles, DeskMakers is a leading manufacturer of office furniture.
